ERA FREIDZON

Era Freidzon was born in 1960 in Chisinau, Moldova. She graduated from 1975 to 1979, studying art at the I.E.Repin College of Art in Chisinau in the subjects of painting, design, art education. She then studied at the State Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of St. Petersburg in subjects of book design, graphics, painting and art history. Since 1985, Era Freidzon has been working as a freelance artist, art teacher and book illustrator on a freelance basis. In 1992, she moved to Germany.

 

Among her exhibitions were her works. in Warsaw, Moscow, Dortmund, Leeds, Berlin and Rotterdam. The works of Era Freidzon are in the State Museum of Moldova, in the collection of the city of Dortmund and in numerous international private collections. She is a member of the Bundesverband Bildender Künstler (BBK), GEDOK and the Dortmunder Gruppe Artists' Association.

Era Freidzon works as an associate professor of graphics and painting, as well as illustrations at IBKK (Institute of Education in the field of visual arts and artistic therapy, Kunstcentrum Bochum).
